first color ur pic
once ur entire pic is done make a new layer
click polygonal lasso tool and make sure in the top margin the feather is on 1px
outline the background w/polygonal lasso tool so only the blank white spaces are outlined not ur colored pic [yes, this is annoying and time consuming but only dave has found a way around it, but he'za bitch XD]
then u just fuck with the background haha
u just fill it in with whatever u want, i use stamps but u have to download them, right click on the paint bucket to get the gradiant tool for some cool effects too.
to add more colors and crazyness all u need is more layers, for example...
ur first layer is the basic background shizz
then u can make a new layer [make sure it's above it] use more layers and just add colors to whatever.
once ur finished, deselect and if it's glitchy around ur pic use the smudge tool to blend the color to the outline. [make sure ur on the right layer for the color ur trying to smudge]
after u fix it up it'll be vaminos awesome.
try using burn tool and the dodge tool for easy blending and light and shading effects.
